3 Ways to Collaborate on a Giveaway
Giveaways are an awesome way to spread the word about your brand, gain new followers and potential customers. And, most of the time, Sponsors come up with a great idea, institute it and the measure results of their advertising efforts.
But, have you ever thought of collaborating with other entities to help advertise your promotion (and get your brand name really buzzing)?
Today, we’re sharing three collaboration ideas to help your next giveaway reach new heights.
Working with other brands to cross promote each other is a great way to tap into a brand new audience and get people entering your giveaway. An example of a co-sponsorship might surround the prize you are awarding. Want to award a really awesome car? Reach out to a vehicle manufacturer and negotiate a co-sponsorship whereby you advertise their brand in all of your sweepstakes materials and they, in turn, share it with their audience.
COLLABORATE WITH YOUR AUDIENCE
Get your audience engaged with your promotion by asking them to collaborate with you on something big! Meghan Trainor did this a couple of years ago by asking her fans to share behind the scenes clips on social media, which would later be used in a fan-generated video. Awarding the fans with a giveaway entry for their submission sweetens the deal and can generate lots of viral sharing! Are the creative juices flowin’ yet?
ITS ALL ABOUT THE INFLUENCERS
We’ve talked about influencers before, and you’ve probably already got an arsenoal of fabulous bloggers and social media superstars in your corner. Why not take the relationship a step further with a giveaway collaboration? While there are a variety of ways you can collaborate with your influencers to share your giveaway with thier fans, we like the idea of a reverse takeover. Instead of asking the influencer to takeover your social media account, ask them if you can take over theirs and directly tap into thier audience. Make sure you make it mutually beneficial for them!
